First impression:

Glistening with terps – this putty-like, pale yellow glob in the bottom of a small black jar reminded me of ear wax and I’m sorry I mentioned it here because the smell has nothing in common with something that gross. In fact this little glob looks more and more appetizing after inhaling the fresh lemony smell.  First impressions are weird.

Fragrance:

Limonene again. It’s the most citrusy smelling terpene and it’s popular among these entries for the Cannabis Cup. When I inhale and let the fragrance roll over, across my pallet awhile it finds its way also up into my nostrils it honestly makes me think of lemon fragrance found in cans of spray-on furniture polish. Its way more fresh, non toxic and subtle than that bulky can of chemicals I’m thinking of but its that limonene terpene that fills the front of my sinuses with fresh and complex grapefruit , lemon-lime goodness. There’s something earthy in the finish. It could be the slight fragrance of juniper? Maybe, I do know this all-natural freshness reminds me why I love solventless extracts the most. Purity smells fresh, clean and safe.

Flavor:

Honestly not much citrus flavor to report. I’m getting a somewhat neutral flavor that is not irritating or cough-causing. Smooth hits with not a lot of flavor to speak of. My nostrils have been assaulted with the heavenly scent as I inhaled and inhaled again to try to figure out the fantastic smell and it may have ended up drowning out some subtle flavors that might be present. I’ll lay off huffing the jar next session and try to put my finger on the flavor.

Burn or meltability:

Full melt with good vapor cloud using my PuffCo Plus. Smooth hits. Nothing negative to talk about. I don’t know much about the company that produced this but I get the impression Cherry makes high-end, top quality concentrates on the regular. This Phartz live rosin is luxurious to inhale.

Experience:

Yeah. This is a nice high. I’d say it’s an anxiety eraser. A relaxation-er. I’m digging my music and finding a groove. Eyelids are heavy but I’m up and ready if you are. I’m not familiar with whether or not Phartz leans toward the sativa or indica side of the effects continuum but I’m going to guess this is a 60/40 hybrid with lots of limonene which might make it lean toward the sativa energy. But my mind is stimulated and I’m content sitting still. No racing heart rate or anxiousness, just smooth sailing and cloud shape watching. Cherry’s Phartz live rosin might be my new favorite thing of summer  of ’22.

Conclusion:

Sampling and judging these entries is increasingly difficult. Fairly assigning a rating on a number scale is so tricky because the quality of every sample I’ve experienced so far has been some of the best weed I’ve ever had. World class, highest end with smells and flavors that are deep and complex. Non -solvent concentrates category is the most luxurious cannabis experience. Cherry’s Phartz live rosin is among the very best I’ve ever had. I rate it a 10 based on its initial presentation, the fragrance, ease of use and the very favorable high, I feel like I’m on vacation and that’s what getting high is all about for me. I’m really glad I found this brand, they seem to know exactly what they’re doing and I will be looking to replace the contents of this jar as soon as I run out which I think is gunna be pretty quick.
